Ordination and Induction of our new Minister

There was a very full church for the Service of Ordination and Induction of Mrs Pauline Main to the pastorate of Summertown United Reformed Church and into the Summertown-Wolvercote Church Partnership. The service was conducted by the Revd. Adrian Bulley, Moderator of the Wessex Synod of the URC. The sermon was preached by the Revd. Neil Thorogood, Director of Pastoral Studies at Westminster College, Cambridge. A very warm welcome to Pauline was given by the Ven. Julian Hubbard, representing the Bishop of Oxford, by the Revd. Dr Mark Butchers, the Revd. Jan Rushton and Mr Gerald Collett, representing the other three churches in the partnership, by Ann Stedman on behalf of Churches Together in North Oxford, by Denis Chiles on behalf of Churches Together in Kidlington, by Bede Gerrard on behalf of Churches Together in Oxfordshire,and by David Trebilcock on behalf of Cutteslowe Community Centre. The service was followed by refreshments in the Church Hall.
